Many business owners think, if they want to increase their business conversion rate, they need to invest in professional services and possibly revamp their entire website. Often this is not the case at all. It can be smaller changes that can have the biggest impact. Here are a few small changes you can easily make to increase your business conversion rate.
Don’t Include too many Fields
When you are asking your customers for information in an email, don’t ask them for anything more than what you need. Every extra question you ask them is an extra chance for them to click off your site.
Guarantees
If you are trying to attract new customers, a great way for you to do this would be to include a no hassle refund guarantee. This will reduce the amount of risk your customers face when they buy from you. As a result, you may just see your sales rate increase.
Testimonials
Most customers look up reviews about a company before they choose to buy from them. The internet makes this easier than ever. Because of that, it’s important to keep up to date with your company brand reputation. If you notice it’s starting to decline or be seen in a negative light, you need to address the situation as soon as possible. Encourage your customers to leave reviews for your company online by offering a gift or even a discount in exchange for their testimonial. This is a fantastic way for you to connect more with your customers and you may even find that they trust you more too.
Headlines
Your home page needs to have a powerful headline. Your headline is quite possibly one of the most important elements on your landing page. Take the time to plan out a few, and then choose the strongest one.
Use Video
Sometimes, a simple video can really humanize your brand. When shooting your videos, try and use your team instead of models to further your message. This will show everyone there are real people working behind the scenes and that you’re proud of what you have created.
Social Media Counts
Social media proof will help you to dramatically reduce the chances of someone clicking off your site. It will also work wonders for your conversion rate. Include links to your social media pages on your website so customers can easily find them. And, include a link to your website on your social media pages as they will want to learn more about you and the products or services you offer. You can also install a social media counter on each of your pages. This will show how many times it has been shared, and it will also encourage your followers to do the same.
Test your CTA
You want to have a call to action, your CTA, on your website or in some of the content you share on social media. You will need to experiment with a few different ones so you can find out which one works best for you. The color you choose, the style of font and even your phrasing will probably have a big impact on your customer experience. Be sure to track your results. If you don’t, you may never know what’s working and what isn’t.
Tell Your Customers What They’re Buying
If you offer a free product or even a sample with certain orders, make sure your customers know it. When they check out, they should be able to see the product they have chosen to buy and an image of the free product. This will help to educate them on the product and promote it as well. When they receive their purchase along with the free product, send a follow up email to ask what they thought of it.
Privacy Policy
Your privacy policy can have a huge impact on your customer’s experience using your site. Changing the wording slightly can boost your conversion rate. You may even find your customers trust in your brand much more. Sure, you may not think people read your privacy policy, but you’d be surprised at how many people actually do.
Meet Your Customer Expectations
If your customers buy from you and you tell them you’re going to give them 24-hour delivery, make sure you meet this target. If you miss the mark just once, there is a big chance they won’t come back to your store again, regardless of how loyal they’ve been in the past. You also need to make sure your copy is reflective of the products you sell. If you use too many buzz or hype words, this could set your customer up for a bad experience. This is the last thing you need when you are trying to boost your conversion rate.
If you need to increase your business conversion rate, you don’t need to hire a professional right away. With a few inexpensive changes, you can change your customer experience, attract more attention and ultimately increase your sales. Here’s to YOUR success!
