Today is day 15 of National Blog Posting Month. Every November, thousands of bloggers pledge to post every single day (holidays, weekends, everyday) to their blog site. If you have been following me you know I decided to participate this year. So far I have written an article everyday, not missing one. Today I wanted to change things up a bit and share a photo that captured an important element of the article I shared earlier this week, Overcoming Your Fear of Failure.
The quote is by best selling author, entrepreneur, marketer, and public speaker, Seth Godin, and says, “If it scares you, it may be a good thing to try.” Everyone hates to fail but for some people that fear is so strong, so powerful, it prevents them from moving forward and achieving the success and life they truly desire. Some people are so afraid to fail they refuse to try. However, failing to try is the only true failure.
We let fear stop us from achieving our true desires and goals but a little fear can be good for you. Most of the time the things we fear never even become a factor in our lives. The one thing you may be avoiding can be the one thing the leads to your ultimate success. So go ahead and ask her out. Take that class or write that book you have always wanted to write. Learn to embrace the fear and make fear your friend. Allow the fear to motivate you to success. After a while the fear will decrease and you will reap the reward for taking action. If things don’t go exactly as planned, remember you tried. Now you just need to figure out what needs to be adjusted and try again… Learn from the experience and most of all enjoy the journey! Until next time, here’s to your success!
