When you start your own business, you want to hit the ground running in order to make a name for yourself. You can put yourself on the map by focusing on your customers and building a strong relationship with them. This allows you to build upon a reputation of excellence, as customers are more likely to trust your brand and products. As a result, they are more likely to recommend you to their friends and family.

However, to develop a relationship with customers, you must first find a way to connect with them. Thankfully, that has never been easier. Here are just three simple ways you can connect with new customers!

Use promotional products to get your name out there

One way in which you can help people discover your brand is through the use of promotional products. For example, whenever a customer makes a purchase, you could gift them a small promotional product, such as a tote bag adorned with your company logo or branding. Then, whenever they use this, they will think of you. It also acts as a form of advertising when they use the product in public.

There are a variety of promotional products you could use to achieve this goal, including:

  • Bags.
  • Coasters.
  • T-shirts.
  • Hats.
  • Phone cases.
  • Notebooks.
  • Stationary.
  • Bottle openers.

Focus on useful products, as they are more likely to be of value to customers and won’t get lost at the back of a drawer or closet. If you are considering using bags, take a look at the range of bags on offer at DynamicGift. You can use their website to browse bags, whether you are looking for tote bags or briefcases – they offer a wide variety of products.

Streamline your target audience

To connect with your target audience, you need to ensure you know who they are. For example, you may want to focus on a specific age group or gender. However, as your company grows and develops, you may need to refine this further, pulling in people with particular interests or hobbies. This means you can tailor your products specifically to them, and they are more likely to make a purchase.

Build a social media following

The digital age, combined with the COVID-19 pandemic, means we now rely on the internet to connect with others – be that friends, family

members or colleagues. However, the internet is also a great way to connect with your customers – and your most effective tool, in this case, is social media.

Focus on developing a strong social media presence across multiple platforms. This will allow you to connect to a range of customers worldwide, not just within your local area. It would help if you used this as an effective communication tool by interacting with those who follow your content. You can do this by:

  • Responding quickly, politely, and enthusiastically to any direct messages you receive.
  • Responding to comments by replying, or at least liking them.
  • Asking questions and encouraging them to respond in the comments.
  • Using your Instagram/Facebook stories for polls and Q&A sessions.
