What is it that makes your business special? If you want audiences to choose you over another brand, that’s what you’ve got to figure out. You’ll also want to create a brand strategy so customers will get to know your business, establishing a like, know, and trust factor.  To make your brand stand out from the rest, you want to pay attention to these simple ideas.

Support good causes

Customers like philanthropic brands that care about good causes. Whether it’s politics, or societal issues, people like brands that use their platform for change. In our current climate, it’s important to support causes that help the environment. At the same time, ensure that your products and practices are eco-friendly. Brands that are seen to make a difference tend to stand out amongst the crowd. One of my favorite non-profits to support is Unstoppable You Ministries, Inc. Their mission is to “provide individuals who are at risk or reentering society with an opportunity to obtain skills necessary to become self-sufficient adults today.”

Host unique events

Live events are making a comeback, and brands are taking advantage! You might want to host marketing events, workshops, networking events, or host an entertaining evening. Whatever kind of event you throw, focus on the customer experience. Events are a wonderful way to tell your brand’s story, establishing an emotional connection with your audience.

 Perfect your brand story

To help your brand stand out, you’ll want to shape the perfect brand story. Customers love stories. They want to know what lies at the heart of your brand, the challenges you’ve faced, and what you stand for. When you’re creating a brand story, your audience should take center stage. Make the story all about their needs, seek to appeal to their emotions and desires.

Custom merchandise

Custom merchandise is a fantastic way to stand out. When you create perfect customized merch, you’ll ensure that everyone sees your logo and remembers it. You can use your merchandise to improve the look of your office or give customers a chance to purchase it. Consider designing branded shaker cups for your employees and customers to enjoy. But remember, your design styles need to be consistent across your social media, your website, and your merch.

Work with influencers

Influencers can help you to improve your appeal. When you work with influencers, you can get your audience excited about your product and gain new leads. Creators know how to make the best kind of content to draw in your target audience. You will need to find influencers that fit in with your niche.  This can be done by checking out various profiles on your favorite social media platforms. You can send samples of your products to them and sponsor them to post pictures using or wearing the items.  I enjoy writing and sharing photos of my favorite brands, so it won’t be hard for you to find the perfect influencers to promote your brand.

Create a podcast

Help your brand stand out with a fun podcast.  If you think you have a business that is not podcast-worthy, you are wrong! There are so many topics you can explore that will help you promote your brand. Podcasts are useful to engage customers, educating them about your field. Whether it’s a wellness podcast or a business podcast, audiences love to learn new things. Plan your podcasts well and invite lots of special guests to your show for the best outcomes. I have been hosting my podcast, Let’s Coach with Carolyn, for over nine seasons now, and I have a blast doing it.  If you are not ready to start your own podcast, consider being a guest on one.

If you want to stand out from the crowd, you need to focus on your brand. You’ll have lots of competitors looking to engage the same customers, which could make all the difference for you.  These six strategies can help to get you noticed and build a loyal customer base.  Here’s to YOUR success!
