30 Days, 30 Blog Posts

November has come to be the fastest and slowest month of the year for me. It’s the month where I challenge myself the most. At the same time, I learn more about myself. I gain clarity of what I want for my business and for my life.  All of this is because of one thing, National Blog Posting Month (NaBloPoMo).

I am finishing my third year of spending 30 days in a row of posting 30 blog posts. During this time, I juggle working with clients, staying relevant with my business, Infinity Coaching, Inc., and the most important, raising and spending time with my son.  The good thing is my son gets, it. He knows that I’ll be staying up to write content, every day.  For 30 days. In a row.

With the month filled with so much activity, it seems to go by so fast. Then there are other days…

The other days

The other days when I am stumped. What will I write about today? These are the times when I can become easily distracted and really want to watch the next episode of Grey’s Anatomy or Flash on Hulu. As soon as I go to do that, the topic hits and I’m back at the computer.

This year was a little easier than the last two. Earlier in the year, I had spent time learning more about what it takes to be a good blogger. How to write better articles, find great images, blogging tools, etc.  I even had people start asking me for tips and strategies.

What I learned was I had been making it harder then it needed to be. This was a consistent theme with most things I had been doing. I enjoyed the simplicity I was finding in writing this year. I started filling a notebook with ideas and things I want to share.

My day 30 post

This article you are reading is my day 30 post.  Once again, in full transparency, I am posting it a few days late.  As I wrote in my article last year, Defining Success: Blogging One Word At A Time, most people have finished the challenge.  I’m still here committed to the journey. Welcome to my day 30 post.

Every time I have participated in this challenge when it ends for me, I know I end up on top.  Why? Because I have stretched myself. I stepped out of my comfort zone and let myself grow.  I allowed myself to be a bit more vulnerable.  I discovered things about me, about the world and about others who also participate in the challenge. In the end, I become a better coach, trainer, author, mom, friend – a better person.

What do you do

What do you do that challenges you and takes you out of your comfort zone? How do you stretch yourself, so you can continue to grow and tap into your creativity? No matter what career field you are in, don’t allow yourself to become stagnate.  Think of what you can do over the next 60 days to challenge yourself to learn, grow and move you closer to a goal you desire. It could be reading a book, working with a coach, or maybe even starting a blog. Whatever it may be, be committed and allow the process to work. Embrace what you discover and welcome what comes your way.

Here on the Infinity Coaching Leadership Blog, we share strategies, tip, resources and real-life experiences that can help you take your career or business to the next level. I hope you have enjoyed reading our 30 days of posting and will continue to follow as we continue to share.  It’s all about success on YOUR own terms.

Will I participate in National Blog Posting Month again? Most definitely! Until then, keep reading and see what is to come our way… ðŸ˜‰
