Generating leads and sales will always be an important aspect and a big priority for your company. After all, the sales you make, be it in products sold or services provided, can be what your business is measured on year on year. Any entrepreneur should always be looking at ways to boost sales opportunities. There are so many things to consider, you probably haven’t thought about all the possibilities your business can take advantage of. Here are some suggestions you can try that could boost your sales figures this year.

 

Pop-up shops at events

Many businesses have both a website that has a functioning e-commerce system and an actual physical store. But these aren’t your only options.  There are many events you can take your business to. This would entail getting your business in front of a captured audience by having a pop-up shop. You can easily take payment by using something like an iPad POS system.   People who are not familiar with your products can get to know them and meet you or members of your team.  Have potential customers take pictures with you or with the products and share them on social media. This could be a fun way to generate some buzz around your business and to add more sales too! 

 

Increase marketing and add value

If you want to extend the reach of your business you will need to increase your marketing efforts.  Using social media and sending electronic newsletters are great ways to do this. You need to consistently share information and remain visible to your followers. But it just isn’t about when and how often you post and send out newsletters, it’s also about the content you share. You need to be creative and engaging with your content. Include direct links, pictures, and take advantage of advertising through social media platforms.

Enable your customers to see and be interested in what your company offers. Be careful not to only focus on what you are selling. Share content that educates, informs and inspires people. This will increase your companies credibility and build trust with customers.

 

Outsourcing jobs to free up your time

One of the biggest challenges business owners face is how they manage their day. It often seems as if you don’t have enough time to get everything done.  This could be because you personally take on too many tasks yourself. As your company grows, consider outsourcing certain areas of your business.  For example, things like accounting, social media or IT management can be easily outsourced. This will then free up your time so that you can focus on the areas that fully need your attention.

 

Prospecting new and existing customers

With your increase in your marketing and engagement on social media, you will be drawing more people to your website. Some will even make inquiries about your products and services. There will be people who get to the last step in purchasing a product and leave the site. Then there will be the customers who have already bought from you who are considering additional purchases. These are prime people and you may want to consider contacting them and offering great deals.

You can offer existing customers a unique referral or discount code. Ask customers who failed to complete their purchase if there was a reason why. Hear what they have to say and see if you can solve the issue by offering an alternative product.  Paying attention to the needs of your potential and existing customers could be a great way to increase revenue.
